Jessica Murray Projects is at a spankin' new gallery in Williamsberg (the 1st stop into Brooklyn on the L-train). The opening is Friday, October the 12th from 6-8(?) p.m. The main room features the painter Alejandro Diaz and there is a separate room which will be filled with my drawings.

All of my drawings in this show are based on a section of Phillip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (what Blade Runner was based on). The section of the novel my work derives from explains The First Law of Kipple, which I think is a brilliant way to depict entropy. Its is explained as thus: when you leave your apartment in the morning with some junk lying around (mail, dust, bits of trash, dirty dishes, etc...) on the counters and floor, and then you return home in the evening - that junk multiplies. There will be four times as much as when you left in the morning. Things disassemble - but in the future, it will happen much more rapidly. This multiplication of "stuff" is c Color alled Kipple.
